PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS: Sow seeds in well-drained soil in a sunny location after the threat of the last frost has passed. Plan on needing a minimum of 20 square feet for each plant. Mound soil and plant 3-5 seeds 1" deep in each mound. When they germinate thin down to the 2-3 healthiest sprouts. Most pumpkin varieties take between 85-125 days to mature. If you would like to have pumpkins on October 1st, count backwards to decide when to plant.
