Yard long beans are most commonly cultivated in India and China and are also known as Asparagus beans or Chinese Long beans. The pods of this variety turn a rich red color that add a flare to any dish. The vines are vigorous producers of 20” long beans that are tender and stringless.

PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS: Sow seeds in well-drained soil in a sunny location after the threat of the last frost has passed. Pole/runner beans grow bigger than bush beans and need a great deal of space and good support. Pole/runner beans need at least 3 feet between rows and 7-12" between plants. This varies if you are making a green bean teepee or other type of support system for your runners.
